My artwork confronts my trauma head on.
Drawing from personal experiences, both challenging and inspiring, I also reflect outwardly and often will touch on social and political topics like women’s rights, BLM, Covid, and Jan.6. The world is a crazy place right now and I want to make sure I capture elements of that in my art. I often spend a year or more exploring themes like “Imposter,” creating intricate worlds that invite viewers to confront fears, explore their souls, and experience deep emotional connections. Part of my Imposter series, SuperEgo questions identity and authenticity.
Am I a chameleon, adapting to survive? In a world where imposter syndrome reigns supreme, "Imposter" speaks to the innermost struggles of authenticity. It's for all who've felt like their true selves are tucked away within a Russian doll, each layer concealing another layer, and another. Welcome to the journey of self-discovery and acceptance.
